DuckChain testnet launches: First TONfi layer-2 integrates Telegram Star for gas payments

-

In recent months, Binance has frequently listed TON ecosystem projects, including Notcoin, TON, DOGS, Hamster Kombat and Catizen, drawing widespread attention.

The TON ecosystem has evolved from the “Tap to Earn” model to Hamster Kombat’s advertising model and Catizen’s gamified paid model, gradually educating hundreds of millions of Telegram users about blockchain technology.

Hamster Kombat claims to have surpassed 300 million users, while Catizen has reached 34 million users, with 2.24 million being Telegram Premium users, and over 2 million active players on-chain.

So, what’s next? Will TON experience a Web3 explosion? How can the ecosystem lower barriers to attract developers and liquidity from other ecosystems? Solving these challenges could elevate TON to new heights.

DuckChain: A groundbreaking solution for TON layer-2

DuckChain is the first TON Layer 2 project based on the Arbitrum Orbit solution, supported by TONScale Labs and Arbitrum. It has already attracted over 2 Million users and has launched its testnet.

Notably, DuckChain is the first non-Ethereum Layer 2 supported by Arbitrum, receiving 84.5% approval in an Arbitrum DAO proposal.

Duckchain introduces a developer-friendly EVM environment and lowers barriers for Web2 users, aiming to bring billions of Telegram users on-chain to drive TON adoption.

DuckChain key innovations

Introducing the first TONfi layer

Unlike other layer-2 solutions focusing on internal scalability, DuckChain targets external growth for the TON ecosystem. It introduces the “TONFi Layer,” connecting TON with EVM, BTC, and other ecosystems.

Through an EVM framework and Telegram Star gas payments, users can easily interact with DeFi, GameFi, and SocialFi projects. This allows for smooth transactions and a seamless experience with various on-chain products and protocols.

Innovatively using Telegram Star for gas fees

In June, Telegram introduced Star, allowing users to buy and sell digital goods on the platform. DuckChain innovatively tokenizes Telegram Star by integrating it into account abstraction functionality and enabling users to easily convert Star into gas for on-chain transactions and engage with the ecosystem, accelerating the overall growth of the TON user base.

EVM development environment and developer onboarding

Although the TON ecosystem is growing rapidly, its current development languages and tools are relatively complex, limiting large-scale developer participation.

DuckChain simplifies development within the TON ecosystem, attracting developers and liquidity from other platforms. Top Arbitrum projects like Camelot, the largest DEX, and LayerBank, will soon enter the TON ecosystem through the DuckChain framework.

Enhancing TON Network security and decentralization

DuckChain will work with TON’s Restaking solution, utilizing over $5 Billion in staked assets to boost the security and economic strength of TON Layer 2. DuckChain has been dedicated to supporting TON’s mission of driving global blockchain adoption.

Star Season testnet event: Bridging Web2 and Web3

DuckChain’s testnet has launched the “Star Season” event, enabling users to create wallets with one click and use Telegram Star as gas for on-chain interactions, offering a seamless Web2 and Web3 experience.

The event has gained the support of 20+ partners, including Arbitrum, OKX, Camelot, Nubit, Particle Network, and Gate Wallet, further expanding DuckChain’s ecosystem.

The next breakthrough in the TON ecosystem

As the first TONFi Layer 2 project within the TON ecosystem, DuckChain holds a major first-mover advantage. With strong backing from top Ethereum Layer 2 project Arbitrum, DuckChain aims to address TON’s complex development framework and isolated liquidity. This opens up new possibilities for TON’s future development and innovation, positioning DuckChain as a key driver in TON’s next breakthrough.
